Medical Massage/Rehabilitative Massage. This is a specialized type of massage aimed at helping a client recover from an injury, surgery, or ongoing medical treatment such as radiation/chemotherapy. Commonly the massage therapist will work in conjunction with a physician, physical therapist or other health care provider. The massage will address the entire body paying very specific, focused attention to the medical needs of the client
